Dealing with a Giant like Amazon.com, one has to weigh their immense role on reaching the International market. All my four web sites would not rise to Amazon.com's influence. As a beginner author, one must be content with piecemeal climbing to fame.

Yes.

As a side interest of mine are motorcycles of a particular kind, I quickly found a source on the web where I could buy reprints of tests and reviews either burnt on CD, printed in book form, or as a downloadable .pdf. I would imagine he would sell the most as .pdf. I have no idea how large a .pdf of "Essentials" would be?

If caught selling PDF of a book without legal court document, the seller could spend his life in prison. Copyrights Law are serious matter.

The PFD maker cost only $50 and that what those scammers do for living. They scan the book and make a PDF document. That trend started in 2005.

Amazon.com Search-Inside-The-Book will allow you to download the whole book in PDF if you were computer savvy.

In any case, a hardcover cannot be beaten.

Essentials and Home-gym will come in modernized hardcover, with modernized graphics. As my knees and hips are allowing me to return to my normal life, I now could sit long hours on the PC without the need to have the laptop in the coach. That translates to spinning the wheels of writing anew. Fourtunately, my 2008 spinal injury that developed into sciatica is long forgotten: Bless the Goodmornings.

Yes. This source was legitimate, he sells magazines, or parts of them in the desired format. I mentioned it relevant to selling one's own work as a .pdf.

So, you have, or are, abandoning the E-book concept? You mentioned your frustration about the Kindle reader somewhere. Was that what triggered that thought?

Selling an electronic file puts your entire labor in vain. You would sell one and no more. There is no electronic signature to prevent other from copying and tampering with your work and you could be held liable for failing to protect your material from being tampered with.

The E-book is not abandoned. There is something questionable in the manner that Giant wholesalers reimburse authors for royalities. Kindle is still evolving and might get to the color display on time for our Kindle version. But Kindle is an obsecure corporation whose physical address and corporate structure could not be located with certainity. You need a bank that deals with your money that could be located and authenticated. Kindle does not answer the phone, nor does it reveal the exact information on when they sell your book or how many was sold.

All is in the air until our book is singed and sealed. Then we will make the right choices based on the time and technology available.

I received the Annual tax from Kindle as well as from other wholesaler. That allows me to trace their FID (federal identification) and that should alleviate my anxiety on how those folks open their accounts for authors' scrutinty.

Are you progressing on FrontPage editing?

Yes, ofcourse. That is true. I had not looked at it from that angle.

The secretive way of the Kindle Co. is odd.

I thought I had sent in edited material for your review. But maybe this is not what you mean. I'll dig to see what I have actually done. It has been a while.

$92 for the first edition. It will be interesting to see how fast it will sell.

Is the combination of "paperback" and "2004" correct? I assume the 1st edition is meant.

Since I stopped selling on eBay two years ago, the eBay prices of Essentials all went up. There is no used Essential no under $57.00. 2004 is slightly off the mark by a month.
