Classical Snatch 

There is a flaw in this technique.  The elbows should not bend before the bar has passed the mid-thigh level.  In a bad day, sometimes it is hard to perform what we preach. 

Bending the elbows at this early stage (the knee level) preempts the strengthening of the upper back muscles and would hinder the lifting of a heavier weight,
